WELCOME SPEECH of DIRECTOR POSTGRADUATE UNDANA

WELCOME.

What I love and am proud of are the leaders, lecturers, master's and doctoral students, employees, alumni, partners, and PPs stakeholders, Undana, wherever they are! Merry Christmas, December 25, 2020, and Happy New Year 2021. I pray and hope that all of us, regardless of our background, enter this new year with a new, burning spirit to be better, more successful, healthier and happier! Even though the Covid19 Pandemic is still sweeping the world, including Indonesia, our passion to be better, more successful, healthier and happier has never subsided.

For PPs, Undana, ending 2020 was full of pride because many students have successfully completed their studies at the master's and doctoral levels. This success was, of course, due to the hard work of the students themselves, lecturers, heads of study programs, employees, including the "cleaning service", and, of course, PPs leaders in particular, Undana leadership in general. To all those contributors, I sincerely thank you and hope and pray, all of them and their families will be given abundant grace in their lives.

Apart from that, there is another pride in PPs. Prof. Mangadas Lumban Gaol, Director of PPs Undana previously, on December 7, 2020, was appointed by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia to become Chair of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti), Region XV, NTT. We hope and pray that he will always be successful in carrying out this position. To replace Prof. Mangadas, I was chosen and appointed by the Chancellor of Undana, Prof. Fred L. Benu, as the new PPs Director on December 22, 2020. As a lecturer at Undana, for me, this is an extraordinary belief. Therefore, I sincerely thank him and hope that I will be able to carry out this noble task properly and successfully.

In reaching that hope, I am very optimistic because I am struggling with the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karolus Kopong Medan, Deputy Director for Administration and Finance, Dr. Agus Nalle, 10 study program heads, two sub-section heads, and hundreds of lecturers, as well as dozens of education staff. The indicators of kindness and success, of course, vary, but, as the Rector of Undana said, Prof. Fred L. Benu on various occasions, all revolve around strengthening cooperation and educational activities for masters and doctorates, research, community service, and publications, both by lecturers and students/alumni, of world-class quality in various national and international scientific journals which are recorded openly at least through the Undana Website (https://undana.ac.id). With that, it is hoped that PPs Undana will be able to make a bigger contribution in empowering human and environmental resources in NTT specifically, Indonesia, and, even, the world in general.

In this connection, the hope is that the public interest, local, national and international, towards PPs Undana will get better. That's a big dream that is always echoed at PPs, Undana. Enter the lobby of the first floor of PPs Undana, right above the artificial water flow on Floor I, of the magnificent PPs Building. The following inspirational sentences have been written in recent years:

Dream Big, Love what you do!

Do what you love! Stay humble!

May all of us – PPs civitas academica, alumni, stakeholders and partners – always have that spirit in our daily lives. With that spirit, I also wish you good luck and success in participating in lecture activities this semester. If you have an idea that you want to share with PPs, don't forget to contact us at any time on this WA number: 081 338 628 034 or on another number that you can use to contact PPs, Undana. Likewise, if you experience problems in connection with higher education tridarma activities in PPs or those linked to it, don't forget to meet us so we can find a way to solve it quickly, precisely and correctly. Thank you and God bless us all!
